To Infinity & Beyond!
While man has created many astonishing things, I find the Infinity pools are one of the most surreal creations of mankind. A dip in the pool transforms you into some other world. A world that you see in front of you. May it be the mountains or the skyline or the ocean, you are transformed into infinity! That’s the beauty of these pools.
I remember on my trip to Singapore around 8 years back, I had just two attractions in my mind. The Universal studios Singapore which was my childhood dream and the Infinity pool at the Hotel Sky Park at the Marina Bay Sands which was one of few and famous Infinity pools around the world. And it still is. The view of the beautiful Singapore skyline was surely a sight to behold. Located on the 65th floor this is the highest infinity pool in the world. You can see the beautiful sunset from the pool and see the all lit Singapore at night, while enjoying some cool drinks and music.
Let’s explore a few of these wonderful Infinity pools in today’s blog
Cambrian hotel, Adelboden, Switzerland:
This is a dream hotel for me! Mountains have always been my favorite and when it’s snow laden mountains it is something that looks fresh out of a fairy tale. What is even more wonderful of this swimming pool is that it is filled with warm water. So as you take a dip in the hot pool with a glass of champagne you can get the panoramic view of the beautiful snow-clad mountains of the Swiss Alps. Isn’t that a wonderful sight? If you are in Switzerland and want to visit a less crowded place, then select this hotel. The hotel is all about relaxation with the beautiful views!
Belmond hotel Caruso, Italy:
The hotel is located on a cliff a 1000 feet above the sea level. It is an old building of the 11th century which is now renovated into a hotel. With such a unique location to boast of and such unique construction, what is even more unique is its infinity pool which will transform you to heaven! You can view the beautiful Almafi coast from the pool. They even arrange special candle light dinners for you along with the special celebration you wish for. Just think of surprising your love by a lovely glass of champagne, as the guitarists serenade you and the moon showers its beautiful light on you. The beauty of the mountains and the Almafi coast will turn it into a perfect date!
Munduk Moding plantation hotel, Bali:
The pool in this hotel has been voted as Asia’s best infinity pool for the view that it offers. The hotel was constructed by a Dutch man as he fell in love with the natural beauty of this place. The hotel is located at around 1200 feet above sea level and you feel as if you are staying in the clouds as you reach here. It has coffee plantations and the infinity pool is amidst these plantations. You can sip a glass of wine while gazing in awe at the Java strait which is in front of the infinity pool. The calm place, the beautiful plantations, the valleys and the volcanic mountains will leave you mesmerized. Don’t forget to take an “Insta worthy” snap by sitting at the edge of the pool!
Maldives:
A blog on infinity pools would be incomplete without a mention of Maldives. Many Hotels in Maldives have infinity pools and it would be really difficult to pick a single resort as most of them are equally amazing. Our very own Taj has Taj Exotica Resorts and Spa in Maldives which offers infinity pools per your suites. Isn’t that just Wow! Resting in the privacy of our room with the turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean for your company is what luxury is all about! I am sure you will forget all your worries when you are on this vacation! That’s why Maldives is very popular as a honeymoon destination.
Wildernest Resort Chorla
This year I am certainly planning to visit at least one infinity pool and I understand that I don’t have to travel far for that. My sister just buzzed me that she had been to the Wildernest Resort Chorla and the pictures of the infinity pool were surely inviting.
So while I am planning my trip, you also pour in your suggestions of the best Infinity pool that you have visited!
